Refund Policy

1. Overview

Avently operates a platform that connects customers with performers for events. We want you to book with confidence. This Refund Policy explains when you are entitled to a refund if you cancel a booking made through our platform. Please read it carefully before you book. By making a booking you agree to this policy.

2. Standard cancellation terms

Full refund: If you cancel at least 7 days before the event date, you will receive a full refund of any amount you have paid for that booking.

Within 7 days: If you cancel less than 7 days before the event, your booking is non-refundable. No refund will be given for cancellations made within this period, as performers reserve the date and may turn down other work.

3. Flexible Booking add-on

At checkout you can add our Flexible Booking option for £25. If you have purchased this add-on:

  • You may cancel up to 24 hours before the event and receive a full refund (including the add-on fee).
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the event remain non-refundable.

The Flexible Booking add-on is optional. If you do not add it, the standard 7-day rule above applies.

4. How to request a refund

To cancel and request a refund, use the cancellation option in your dashboard under Bookings, or contact us via our Support page. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method where possible. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card provider. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or financial institutions.

5. Cancellations by performers

If a performer cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund of any amount you have paid in respect of that booking. Avently may, at its discretion, assist you in finding an alternative performer but is not obliged to do so.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to that booking. For existing bookings, the policy in effect at the date of the booking applies unless we expressly notify you otherwise. Continued use of the Service after we post changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy for new bookings.
